Karma's Gyesera Futuristic Electric Sedan vs. Tesla

Karma is revolutionizing the concept of luxury vehicles with its inaugural electric four-door sedan, taking the term ‘exotic car’ to unprecedented heights. Prospective buyers can secure their reservation with a $5,000 deposit. Despite its potential to rival Tesla Model S sales, the limited production run hampers the Gyesera’s market dominance.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the California-based company presents the Gyesera as a visionary step toward the future, according to President Marques McCammon. Unveiled at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, this model showcases an impressive performance.

Powered by dual electric motors, the Gyesera generates a total of 590 horsepower and 693 pound-feet of torque, enabling a swift acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 135 mph.

Notably, its aluminum spaceframe construction and strategic use of carbon fiber and aluminum components maintain weight control despite tipping the scales at 5,300 pounds.

Measuring 199.9 inches long, 78.9 inches wide, and 52.4 inches tall, with a wheelbase of 124.4 inches, the Gyesera boasts dimensions surpassing the Tesla Model S but falling short of the Mercedes EQS sedan. Equipped with a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, it offers a range of up to 250 miles.

While pricing details are forthcoming, Karma emphasizes exclusivity, suggesting a premium tag reminiscent of elite automotive counterparts like the Cadillac Celestiq and Porsche Taycan.

With a production target of approximately 2,000 units over four to five years, interested buyers are urged to secure their reservation promptly, with deliveries slated for the end of 2024.
