The Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV) has successfully completed the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces Summer Trials, enduring seven days of rigorous testing across various terrains.

During the trials, the ISV underwent extensive evaluations to assess its performance and reliability in combat conditions, including traveling nearly 2,000 kilometers across highways, desert dunes, soft sand, and rocky terrain.

The testing phases included assessments of continuous driving with maximum payload capacities and maintenance trials to evaluate field repairs and recovery procedures. GM Defense, the manufacturer of the ISV, demonstrated its commitment to providing a durable and sustainable vehicle suitable for military operations.

Although not designed for combat missions against near-peer threats, the ISV, based on the Chevy Colorado ZR2 platform, showcases impressive capabilities with its Duramax 2.8-liter turbocharged diesel engine and GM Hydro-Matic six-speed auto box.

GM Defense aims to offer the ISV to customers in the Middle East, leveraging its success in the UAE Summer Trials to build confidence among defense and government agencies in the region.
