Stellantis initiated “the next chapter of Dodge muscle” on March 5, 2024, unveiling the highly anticipated 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona and 2025 Dodge Charger SIXPACK models. To the surprise of many, these models were presented in both the traditional two-door fastback coupe form and, unexpectedly, in a four-door sedan body style.

Anticipation had been brewing, largely fueled by the Charger Daytona SRT concept and a plethora of spies, teasers, and leaks. Dodge’s shift towards embracing electric vehicle (EV) technology was evident, starting with the introduction of the up to 496-horsepower Daytona R/T and up to 670-hp Daytona Scat Pack.

For enthusiasts of internal combustion engine (ICE) power, the SIXPACK S.O. (standard output) and SIXPACK H.O. (high output) models were also introduced, featuring the 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six turbo engines, available in both sedan and coupe variants.

Dodge’s strategic approach to cater to diverse preferences was notable, offering two EV powertrains, two gasoline-powered models, and two body styles. However, some enthusiasts lamented the absence of the iconic V8 engine.

Yet, the creative minds of digital car content creators immediately began discussing additional features they hoped to see, such as larger wheels or a drag-focused aerodynamic kit.

Among these suggestions was the idea of a convertible body style, proposed by virtual artist X-Tomi Design. Such a design adaptation could potentially address concerns regarding the increased weight of the Charger Daytona EV, offering improved handling dynamics alongside the novelty of an open-top driving experience.
