BMW To Offer $1000 Discount If You Dump Your Tesla For Their EVs

In its latest move to bolster its electric vehicle (EV) sales, BMW is embarking on an unconventional strategy: enticing current EV owners away from their existing brands with a cash incentive.

While the electric car market has experienced a recent slowdown, the loyalty among existing EV owners remains strong, with few willing to revert to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. Capitalizing on this, BMW aims to sustain its growth by persuading owners of other brands to make the switch.

For those who currently own a Tesla, Rivian, Audi, or other popular EV models, BMW is offering a generous $1000 incentive to transition to one of their electric offerings, namely the i4, i5, or iX. Notably, this offer does not necessitate trading in the owner’s current electric vehicle.

However, there’s a caveat: the magnitude of the savings is contingent upon the model chosen from BMW’s lineup, with greater discounts available for the higher-end models.

For instance, the iX SUV presently boasts nearly $10,000 in discounts. When combined with the ‘Conquest Program’ bonus, customers could potentially enjoy savings of up to $11,000 in total.

BMW has streamlined the process for interested EV owners with a comprehensive list of eligible vehicles spanning renowned brands in the electric car realm, such as Tesla, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Polestar, Rivian, Lucid, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and VW ID.4.

Those considering a switch to BMW can take advantage of the $1000 bonus upon purchasing an i4, i5, or iX. While this offer is currently limited to residents in Western US states, there’s speculation that it might be extended further before the deadline on April 1, 2024.
