2021 Lincoln Nautilus: Expected Features and Options

In 2019, As a replacement to the MKX, Lincoln introduced the Nautilus. After every year, Lincoln introduces a newer upgrade over the last generation. For 2021, Lincoln will bring a slight refresh to the Nautilis. Lincoln is trying to make its Nautilus more competitive in the mid-size class SUVs. While the 2021 model will continue to retain its current striking and upscaling design, it will bring some small changes, such as an update over the tidy grills’ texture and a new chrome accent. The 2021 model will be featuring a piano-style shifter, which is found on other Lincoln’s rather than the last year’s push-button shifter.

2021 Nautilus’s interior’s biggest improvement is the inclusion of a new huge 13.2-inch touchscreen, which will have features such as Lincoln’s latest SYNC 4 infotainment system, Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Satellite radio. Lincoln has guaranteed all of these features as a standard around all options of the new Nautilus. Lincoln has also guaranteed over-the-air updates. This Touch Screen Infotainment system sits atop of the redesigned dashboard.

The Nautilus will come with Lincoln’s Phone As A Key feature, allowing its owners to use their smartphone instead of a traditional key fob to enter into their vehicle. Unsatisfied users can opt for additional features such as a high-end audio system, navigation, and wireless charging.

Let’s move on to what’s under the hood. Lincoln will be offering two types of engines with the new Nautilus: The standard motor and turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine versions.

The Standard motor is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. It will also have an eight-speed automatic transmission and a front-wheel drive, which is standard for the powertrain. Users have an option to choose an All-wheel drive. The next option is a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine, which gets rated at 335 hp and 380 lb-ft torque. The V6 engine will also come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive standard, just as the standard motor version.

Now that we have seen the looks and checked its power, we shouldn’t be missing the most important part of a vehicle: protections. It’s really great to see that all 2021 Nautilus will be coming with the Lincoln Co-Pilot360 standard. For those who want more, Lincoln has given the users an option to choose the Lincoln Co-Pilot360 Plus. This will brings adaptive, an automated parking system, a surround-view camera, cruise control, and adaptive steering.

Other safety suites in the new Nautilus are automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and pedestrian detection. We can expect the 2021 Nautilus to be more pricey with all these upgrades than the current model. Pricing for the current Nautilus starts at $42,680 and goes up all the way to $65,440.

It is expected that the 2021 Nautilus will give competition to BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, and also the Cadillac XT6. The 2021 Lincoln Nautilus Release Date will be in early 2021, confirmed by the company.
