The first-generation Chevy Trailblazer SS faced criticism during its time. While it resembled a rugged 4×4, it fell short in reliability compared to SUVs from Toyota, Honda, and Ford. However, with the right modifications, it can transform into something remarkable.

RPM Motorsports recently demonstrated this potential by converting a mundane family SUV into a high-performance drag racing machine. Specializing in General Motors performance projects, RPM Motorsports is well-versed in maximizing the horsepower of LS and LT V8 engines.

Their latest project, the Metagarage 1-of-1 G900 Maybach, is a testament to their expertise. Starting with a standard Mercedes-AMG G 63, RPM Motorsports performed extensive modifications, including installing a 436-cubic inch LSX V8 crate engine, a Forced Inductions turbocharger, and a direct port NOS system.

Upgrades such as 2000cc injectors and a Jesel valvetrain were incorporated to enhance performance further.

With these enhancements, the Metagarage G900 Maybach can achieve quarter-mile sprints in as little as eight seconds, thanks to components like the TH400-style transmission from Rossler Transmissions and the M9 nine-inch rear end from Moser.

Combined with double-adjustable racing shocks from ARCO, this SUV offers exhilarating performance and reliable consistency.

While the current asking price is $87,500 at Carolina Muscle Cars in North Carolina, the Metagarage G900 Maybach presents a unique opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind vehicle capable of delivering thrilling straight-line acceleration and potential racing success.
