Amalgam Collection Unveils Exquisite Ferrari Replicas Precision in Miniature

Amalgam Collection, renowned for its intricately crafted scaled-down replicas of rare automobiles, has recently introduced two lesser-known additions to its lineup: the Ferrari 250 GTO and 250 Testa Rossa ‘Pontoon Fender’.

Both models, constructed at a quarter of their original size, require up to 450 hours for assembly, roughly equivalent to the duration of a busy McDonald’s queue during peak hours.

Starting with the 250 GTO, priced at £41,750, buyers are treated to a ‘Rosso Corsa’ finish with an option to select from 16 bespoke liveries for an additional £8,696. Opting for these customizations is advisable as each model is meticulously hand-built using aluminum, deterring any attempts at home-based artisanal techniques.

Alternatively, customers can opt for the Testa Rossa Pontoon Fender mock-up at the same price as the standard 250 GTO model. While following similar build principles, this variant boasts an exposed aluminum finish.

Both replicas can be mounted on a walnut wood frame, offering an appealing alternative to a collection displayed in empty shoeboxes.

Sandy Copeman, founder of Amalgam Collection, expressed his reverence, stating, “I’ve got to know the extraordinary beauty of these pieces of fine automotive art on numerous occasions over the intervening 15 years, taking every opportunity to experience the incredible beauty of Sergio Scaglietti’s creations. It’s a real privilege for us to replicate his work.”

For those not enamored with these models, Amalgam plans to expand its Ferrari lineup over the coming years with similar replicas of the 265 GTB and 275 GTB/4. Enthusiasts are advised to prepare their collections accordingly.
