2021 Hyundai NEXO Fuel Cell

Today, in this article, we will talk about the all-new car ‘2021 Hyundai Nexo Fuel Cell’. The brand ‘Hyundai’ is a South Korean Automotive company. It is a hydrogen-powered SUV. Hyundai is giving complimentary maintenance with this awesome car for 3 years or 36000 miles. The car will have the highest range of fuel cell vehicles in the world; The range will be up to 380 miles. There will be an increased drag coefficient with redefined and clean details. Aerodynamic design will be there in this car. The car will be the most advanced vehicle of the brand ‘Hyundai’. Let’s talk about the specifications of this car.

Specifications

Under the hood, there will be a Lithium-ion Polymer battery with a capacity of 1.56 kWh. It will give a power output of 40 kW with 240 V and the charging and discharging efficiency will be 95.3 %. So, the car will be very efficient. There will be a permanent motor which will generate 120 kW or 161 hp of power and 291 lb-ft of torque. The front-wheel-drive technology will be there with a single-speed reduction gear transmission. In the car, there will be three different drive modes such as Comfort, Eco, and Eco Plus. The steering wheel will be Rack and Pinion type with motor driven and power-assisted technology. The overall ratio will be 14.19:1. There will be 2.6 turns lock-to-lock and 36.7 ft of turning diameter curb-to-curb in the car. The seating capacity will be of five members.

The front and rear suspension will be Macpherson type and Multi-link type respectively. The front suspension will come with a gas-filled damper and stabilizer bar and the rear suspension will come with a gas shock absorber and stabilizer bar. There will be 19-inch alloy wheels in the car. The fuel system will be a hydrogen fuel cell with 135 kW of system power and 60% of efficiency. Cell number will be 440.0 and power will be 95 kW with 3.1 kW/Liter at 0.6 V density. The maximum speed of the car will be 111.0 mph. The fuel tank capacity will be 41.4 gals. The car will give 59 mpg in the city, 54 mpg on the highway, and 57 mpg combined. Let’s talk about the exterior and interior of the car.

The interior features include an eight-way power driver and passenger seats, power lumbar support, heated front seats, Ventilated front seats, Dual seatback map pockets, adjustable head restraints, rear seatback with 60/40 split fold-flat, 12.3-inch color touchscreen, AM/FM radio, Sirius XM satellite radio, onboard navigation, 440-watt Krell eight-channel external amplifier with eight-speakers, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB and Aux input jack, Rearview monitor with parking guidance, Surround-view monitor, Blue Link connected car system, Blue Link connected care package with free service of three years, Blue Link connected remote package with free service of three years, Blue Link connected guidance package with free service of three years, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB charger.

Other interior features include an electronic parking brake, automatic temperature control, auto defogger, wireless device charging, external temperature display, window defroster at the rear side with timer, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, heated steering wheel, 7-inch TFT LCD instrument cluster, various controls mounted on the steering wheel, power door locks, 115V power outlet, 12V power outlet at the front, remote keyless entry system, alarm and panic system, power window with auto up/down at driver and passenger, smart cruise controls with stop and go function, and premium remote smart parking assist.

The exterior features include LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, puddle approach lights, automatic headlights, LED taillights, LED brake light, heated exterior mirror, side mirrors, turn-signal indicators, premium lower side sills, rain-sensing front wipers, solar front glass, power tilt and slide sunroof, roof rails, shark-fin roof antenna, and privacy glass.

The safety and security features include a Latch system, child safety locks at the rear, blind-spot view monitor, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, forward collision avoidance assist, pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, front and rear parking distance warning, lane follow assist, lane-keeping assist, departure warning, driver attention warning, high beam assist, power window lock-out button, load limiters, front seatbelt pretensioners, ABS, regenerative braking system, ECS, TCS, brake assist, front crumple zone, bodyside reinforcements, antitheft system, advanced airbags at the front seats, seat-mounted side-impact airbags at the front seats, roof-mounted side-curtain airbags, and rollover sensors.
