Audi has revealed its latest entry in the electric SUV market: the Q6 e-tron compact luxury crossover. Developed in collaboration with Porsche, it utilizes the PPE architecture and offers up to 510 horsepower, albeit exclusively for the US market.

Launching with standard Q6 quattro and SQ6 e-tron quattro trim levels, the American market version delivers up to 456 hp on launch control for the Q6, while other regions receive variations with 382 hp and 510 hp. This strategy aims to differentiate it from the Porsche Macan EV, which offers 402 to 630 horsepower.

Audi has simplified its naming scheme, with the Q6 e-tron launching initially in a quattro variant, with an RWD model to follow. Additionally, a Q6 e-tron Sportback is in development for those interested in a coupe-SUV lifestyle.

The US specification Q6 e-tron quattro offers 422 hp or 456 hp on launch control, a 0-60 mph time of five seconds, and a range estimate of over 300 miles. Charging capabilities include 270-kW DC fast charging and 9.6 kW AC charging.

Pricing for the US market is yet to be announced, but European pricing starts from 74,700 euros, with the SQ6 priced at least 93,800 euros.
