Genesis made a bold statement at the New York auto show event by revealing the striking GV60 Magma concept, signaling the imminent arrival of a new lineup of high-performance Genesis models under the Magma subbrand.

This aggressive concept showcased ahead of the auto show, is set to lead the charge for a range of powerful and athletic vehicles from Genesis.

The GV60 Magma concept derived from Genesis’s pioneering electric vehicle platform shared with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6, promises an electrifying driving experience.

While technical details remain undisclosed, it’s anticipated that the GV60 Magma will inherit components from its high-performance counterparts, such as the 576-hp EV6 GT and the 641-hp Ioniq 5 N.

The GV60 Magma with its muscular stance, emphasized by beefy wheel arches, distinctive vents, and a striking rear wing. The front bumper, redesigned for enhanced cooling, hints at the formidable power lurking beneath, while the rear features a commanding diffuser. Sporting sleek 21-inch wheels with an aerodynamic disc design, the GV60 Magma exudes both style and performance.

Inside, the cabin is adorned with premium touches, including bucket seats and luxurious nappa and suede leather upholstery accentuated by vibrant orange stitching. While images of the interior are yet to be revealed, Genesis assures a blend of comfort and sportiness that reflects the Magma ethos.

In addition to the GV60 Magma, Genesis also revealed a lineup of other vehicles poised to join the Magma family. The GV80 Coupe concept, adorned in the distinctive Magma paint color, hints at a dynamic coupe variant, while the G80 Magma Special and X Gran Berlinetta concept further expand the Magma portfolio.

Genesis intends to raise the level of driving excitement across its lineup of sedans and crossovers by introducing high-performance Magma models.

As Genesis continues to push boundaries in the luxury automotive sphere, the arrival of the Magma subbrand signals an exciting new chapter in performance-driven luxury. With brand partner Jacky Ickx endorsing the GV60 Magma concept, anticipation for the adrenaline-fueled driving experience is palpable.
