Enthusiasts of large crossovers may already be aware of Hyundai’s plans to retire the Palisade, but the Korean automaker is not abandoning this segment. Instead, they are diligently working on a brand-new model, though it will take some time before it reaches dealerships nationwide.

The new vehicle is currently undergoing testing, with the research and development team continually refining it. Rumors suggest that it will feature a distinct platform, details of which are scarce at the moment, but it is expected to be shared with its Kia counterpart, the second-generation Telluride.

Hyundai has kept the powertrain specifications under wraps, but reports indicate the possibility of a new 3.5L V6 engine with turbocharging. Additionally, a partially electrified 2.5-liter engine may join the lineup, with optional all-wheel drive expected while base models are likely to come with front-wheel drive.

The interior of the new model will feature a fresh design, incorporating a widescreen setup that integrates digital dials and the infotainment system, as revealed in previous leaks. Although the exterior design remains largely concealed under camouflage, rendering artists have offered speculative interpretations, with the latest rendition from Kolesa attracting attention.

While Kolesa’s rendition presents a vision of the new Hyundai Palisade, actual spy shots suggest a boxier design. Differences in the front windscreen and roofline, as well as variations in the roof rails, indicate that Kolesa’s interpretation may not align with the actual design. However, certain elements such as the main clusters’ shape and placement retain accuracy, hinting at potential design cues.

With further details awaiting revealing as Hyundai gradually removes the camouflage from the upcoming Palisade, speculative renderings provide an intriguing take look into what may come. Despite discrepancies between digital illustrations and prototypes, the imagined design holds promise for enthusiasts eagerly anticipating Hyundai’s newest crossover offering.
