A fortunate individual recently acquired a 1972 Dodge Demon 340 for $61,000. This eye-catching orange and black vehicle underwent a meticulous four-year restoration project starting in 2018. It’s worth noting that the car proudly displays the Demon 340 badge, a testament to the restoration’s attention to detail.

Originally delivered to Mr. Norm’s Grand Spaulding Dodge dealership in Chicago, Illinois, the Demon had a price tag of $3,600, equivalent to approximately $27,000 in today’s currency.

During the refurbishment process at Wilson Auto Repair of Garland, Texas, totaling over $210,000, the 340-ci engine underwent a rebuild and now boasts three Holley two-barrel carbs, an Edelbrock intake manifold, and cylinder heads.

Equipped with a QA1 front suspension, power-assisted front disc brakes, a four-speed manual gearbox, and a Sure-Grip differential with 3.91:1 gearing, the Demon also features distinctive Rallye-inspired 14″ wheels, a dual exhaust system, and a commanding hood scoop.

Despite its impressive restoration, there is a notable flaw: the fuel gauge is not functional. Nevertheless, this iconic vehicle, with only 400 miles on the odometer, stands as a testament to classic automotive craftsmanship and heritage.
