Tesla recently celebrated a significant milestone on social media, announcing the production of its six millionth vehicle, a Tesla Model Y in Stealth Gray. Meanwhile, Dodge is yet to enter the EV production arena.

Despite challenges, Dodge is striving to follow Tesla’s path by introducing the eighth-generation 2024 Charger Daytona as an all-electric muscle car, following the discontinuation of the ICE-powered L-bodied Dodge Charger sedan and Challenger muscle car in 2023. With options of up to 670 hp, the new Charger presents a compelling option, particularly for dragstrip enthusiasts.

While it may be some time before comparisons between the Charger EV and Tesla Performance models emerge, current matchups involve the Tesla Model 3 and the retired Dodge Challenger in ICE versus EV battles

. Recent encounters at Bandimere Speedway showcased the prowess of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat against the Tesla Model 3, indicating the enduring strength of ICE-powered muscle cars.

As Tesla prepares for the future, Dodge’s next move involves the release of the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV, which might face challenges due to its size and weight.

Tesla, on the other hand, is anticipated to focus on upgrading its Model 3 Performance or Ludicrous variants. Dodge’s upcoming Durango may offer both EV and six-cylinder ICE options, aligning with the brand’s evolutionary direction.
