Tesla’s Cybertruck stock has been depleted, sparking renewed interest in resale despite the company’s opposition to it. This unexpected development comes after it seemed that the Cybertruck had reached the end of its availability. The electric pickup truck is now completely sold out until 2025.
Several attempts to auction off Tesla Cybertrucks resulted in unsuccessful sales, with prices falling well below what a Porsche dealership paid for one – a notable $244,000. Subsequently, the dealership attempted to resell it for a staggering $290,000.
New orders for the Cybertruck are now scheduled for delivery next year, pushing back timelines even though production at Giga Texas has increased. Despite rumors suggesting waiting times of up to five years, orders are only being delayed by a year.
Despite Tesla’s first annual drop in sales since the pandemic’s onset, the company boasted the Model Y as the best-selling car globally last year, with over 1.2 million units sold. However, Tesla is now faced with increased demand for the Cybertruck and has exhausted its entire production capacity for 2024.
