Among the models set to make their world premieres is the electric G-Class, which will now be branded as the “G 580 with EQ Technology” instead of the previously anticipated EQG. The decision to unveil the electric G-Class in China, the brand’s largest market globally, was announced via a statement indicating the strategic importance of Mercedes-Benz in the Chinese market.

Accompanying the electric G-Class at the 2024 Beijing auto show will be another noteworthy model from Mercedes-Benz, the new AMG GT 63 S E. This dual premiere underscores Mercedes’ commitment to electrification and performance, catering to diverse preferences within the luxury automotive market.

In a recent display of prowess, Mercedes-Benz showcased the off-roading capabilities of the electric G-Class at its testing grounds in Sweden, hinting at the vehicle’s versatility and ruggedness despite its electric propulsion system.
