Honda CR-V And Toyota C-HR Scored Five NCAP Stars For Safety

In the latest round of safety tests conducted by the Euro NCAP, three prominent models stood out, receiving the highest possible rating of five stars each. Among these models were the Toyota C-HR, the Nio EL6, and the Honda CR-V, with the Honda CR-V achieving this feat twice. Euro NCAP, renowned for rigorously evaluating vehicle safety, aims to provide comprehensive insights into the safety of new models for both occupants and other road users.

The Toyota C-HR demonstrated exceptional safety performance, securing five NCAP stars by scoring impressively across various categories. With 85 percent for adult occupant safety, 86 percent for child occupant safety, and 86 percent for pedestrian safety, the C-HR showcased robust safety features. Its standard safety systems earned a commendable 79 percent score in the ‘Safety Assist’ category, further solidifying its reputation for safety excellence.

The electric Nio EL6 also achieved five stars, boasting remarkable scores in key safety areas. Scoring 93 percent and 85 percent for adult and child occupant safety, respectively, the EL6 showcased its commitment to passenger protection. Furthermore, with scores of 78 percent for pedestrian safety and 76 percent for safety systems, the EL6 demonstrated its comprehensive approach to safety across various scenarios.

The Honda CR-V, tested in both standard trim and with optional safety systems, delivered outstanding results in both configurations, earning five stars each. With scores of 85 percent for adult occupant safety and 86 percent for child occupant safety, the CR-V proved its capability to protect occupants.

Even in the standard version, pedestrian safety and safety systems scored decently at 76 percent and 67 percent, respectively, while the fully equipped variant performed even better with scores of 80 percent and 79 percent.

The Euro NCAP safety tests highlighted the exemplary safety standards of these three models: the Toyota C-HR, the Nio EL6, and the Honda CR-V. With each achieving the maximum rating of five stars, these vehicles demonstrated their commitment to safety across various criteria, reassuring consumers of their reliability and protection on the road.
