Subaru of America has just released details about the pricing and updates for the 2025 model year Outback and Legacy. Starting prices remain unchanged, with the Outback starting at $28,895 and the Legacy at $24,895 before destination charges. Across the board, EyeSight Driver Assist Technology now comes standard, while the well-appointed Limited trim boasts additional features.

Included in the standard features are a 360-degree heated steering wheel, satellite navigation for the 11.6-inch Subaru Starlink infotainment system, a power moonroof, and the Subaru DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System. This system uses an infrared camera to monitor the driver’s eyes and head position, alerting them if they appear distracted or fatigued.

The Outback and Legacy have different freight charges, with the Outback at $1,395 and the Legacy at $1,145. The Outback, advertised as a sport utility vehicle but sharing similarities with station wagons, offers nine trims. The off-road-focused Wilderness and XT grades come with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, while non-XT grades feature a 2.5-liter H4 engine. Both engines are paired with a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission.

Subaru’s Q1 2024 sales report shows a significant increase in Forester deliveries compared to the same period in 2023, likely due to dealers making room for the 2025 Subaru Forester. Notably, the 2025 Forester will only come with the 2.5-liter engine option.
