The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona is set to hit dealerships across America soon, about a month and a half after its official revealing as an electric muscle car. Departing from tradition, Dodge has opted for electric power instead of the iconic HEMI V8 engine.
However, to appease die-hard HEMI enthusiasts, Dodge also offers the 3.0-liter V6 Hurricane engine as an option. Customers will have the choice of five First Edition versions, including two Daytona R/Ts and three Daytona Scat Packs.
The Daytona R/T Configuration 1 features the Direct Connection eState 1 Upgrade, boosting horsepower to 496 and enabling a 0 to 60 mph acceleration in 4.7 seconds. It boasts leather Performance Seats, a 16-inch instrument cluster, ambient lighting, and an Alpine Pro Premium Sound System.
Meanwhile, the Charger Daytona Scat Pack Configuration 1, the top-tier model, boasts 670 horsepower and the Direct Connection eStage 2 Upgrade. Equipped with the Track Pack and the Plus Group, it offers premium features such as ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, and a heads-up display.
These First Edition models are available in three exterior colors: Diamond Black, Triple Nickel, and White Knuckle. Dealers will receive their First Edition allocations by the end of April, with a new web experience planned to aid potential buyers in locating their desired model.
While pricing details are yet to be revealed, the Charger Daytona represents a bold step forward for Dodge, blending electric power with the legacy of muscle cars.
