The celebrated Alfa Romeo 4C is poised for a brief return, courtesy of Abarth, who has affixed its renowned scorpion emblem to the rear of the model. This two-door sports coupe, which ceased production in 2020, is making a nostalgic comeback with retro styling to commemorate 75 years of Abarth. Only five units will be manufactured.

Having been absent from production for four years, the last Alfa Romeo 4C rolled off the assembly line in 2020 after a six-year production run. Stellantis is resurrecting the model as a tribute to the Fiat-Abarth OT 1300 from 1965, renowned for its victories at Nurburgring, Monza, and Mugello, in honor of the Abarth Anniversary. This revival is dubbed the Abarth Classiche 1300 OT.

The last similar endeavor occurred in 2021 when Abarth introduced the Abarth Classiche 1000 SP just before FC Heritage transitioned to Stellantis Heritage following the FCA-PSA merger.

Powered by the Alfa 4C’s 1.75-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing 237 horsepower (241 metric horsepower), it propels the rear wheels via a twin-clutch gearbox.

In the Alfa 4C, this powertrain propelled the car from 0 to 100 kph (0 to 62 mph) in 4.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 160 mph (258 kph). However, performance figures for the new model have not been disclosed.

Similar to the Abarth Classiche 100 SP, only five 1300 LOTs will be produced, all overseen and marketed by the Stellantis Heritage division.

Enthusiasts eager to own this retro-styled pocket rocket can already place their orders, although availability is limited. The Abarth Classiche 100 SP sold out swiftly, according to Abarth, but pricing details have not yet been revealed.
