The new 2025 Maserati GranCabrio Folgore completes Maserati’s first set of electric cars. It joins the Nettuno V6-powered GranCabrio Trofeo that Maserati showed in February. This new car is special because it’s one of the first luxury electric convertibles with four seats and costs a lot of money. It’s like a fancy car for driving around in the sun until other fancy electric cars like the Porsche 911, Mercedes-AMG SL, or new Jaguar XKR come out.
When you’re going slow, you can fold the roof down in just 14 seconds. If you’re going fast, it takes a bit longer, about 16 seconds. But if you put the roof up, the space in the trunk gets smaller. With the roof down, there’s only enough room for small bags.
The car has a big battery and three electric motors. These motors can make the car go fast, but not as fast as it could because the battery isn’t the strongest. When the car is in its fastest mode, it can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 2.7 seconds, and it can go as fast as 180 miles per hour.
You can choose from six different sets of wheels. Some of them are made to help the car go through the air better. Maserati says the car can go about 250 miles on a single charge. And if you use a special charger, you can get a lot of power back in just a short time.
Inside the car, there are lots of screens and fancy seats. The seats even have warmers for your neck. Maserati will give you a special charger for your house when you buy the car.
You can order the car starting in August, and Maserati will start delivering them at the end of the year. We don’t know exactly how much it will cost yet, but it will probably be around $225,000.
