Ford, aiming to maintain the momentum of the all-electric F-150 Lightning, has entered the fray of EV price competition, anticipating rivals like the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV RST and 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali, as well as the 2025 Ram 1500 REV.

Despite a temporary halt in deliveries due to undisclosed issues, Ford remains steadfast in its pursuit of success. With the EV pickup market heating up, Ford has strategically adjusted the pricing of the 2024 F-150 Lightning to outshine competitors.

The recent price reductions, up to $5,500 on select trims, reflect Ford’s commitment to affordability and accessibility. Additionally, the online order books for the 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning are now open, with deliveries proceeding from the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center as scheduled.

In addition to price adjustments, Ford has introduced tech updates for the current model year, including a Vapor Injection Heat Pump System and enhancements to the Tow Technology Package. Furthermore, new options such as Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system provide added convenience and safety.

While some trims remain unchanged, like the Platinum Extended Range, customers can opt for the new Platinum Black package starting in May. With these updates, Ford aims to maintain its position as a leader in the EV pickup segment, offering compelling features and competitive pricing.
