The Audi RS 6 e-tron prototype recently garnered attention at the Nurburgring in Germany and surrounding roads. Positioned as a battery-electric alternative to the upcoming RS 7, this model comes in sedan and station wagon variants, known as the Avant. Audi’s new nomenclature assigns even numbers to EVs and odd numbers to internal combustion engine models.

Ready for production, the prototype showcased distinctive features such as dual headlamps, sizable air intakes, and flush-mounted door handles. Notably, it sported two charging ports on each rear quarter panel, along with large alloys and upgraded brakes.

While interior details remain undisclosed, speculations suggest similarities to the Q6 e-tron, including a sizable infotainment screen and digital gauges. Expectations include exclusive seating, trim, and additional features, setting it apart from its counterparts.

Powered by the PPE architecture, shared with the Q6 e-tron and Porsche’s Macan Electric, the RS 6 e-tron is anticipated to deliver over 700 electric horsepower. Further details, including a potential Performance variant, are anticipated upon its expected summer debut.
