Enthusiasts eager to acquire one of the most impressive full-size pickup trucks on the market may want to act swiftly, as alternatives either offer lower power or hail from competing brands.

Dodge, one of America’s most iconic brands, recently bid farewell to its mighty Hemi V8, discontinuing production of the L-bodied Challenger and Charger. The Durango is also receiving its final editions. Following suit, Stellantis decided to exclude the iconic powertrain from the facelifted 2025 Ram Trucks lineup.

In its place, Ram Trucks now offer a range of powertrain options, including a V6 with eTorque, a new 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six with standard and high output variants, the Ramcharger, and the all-electric Ram 1500 REV. Even the popular TRX model will be replaced by the first-ever Ram 1500 RHO, set for release later this year.

Fortunately, enthusiasts still have the opportunity to acquire a 2024 Ram 1500 TRX, albeit at an inflated price tag starting at $96,590. Once acquired, owners are free to unleash their power on the quarter-mile dragstrip, showcasing their performance prowess.

A recent video from the ImportRace channel on YouTube captures the TRX in action at Island Dragway during a Test & Tune Day. In a series of races, the TRX demonstrates its dominance against competitors like an E39 BMW 5 Series Touring and an F-150, showcasing its exceptional performance capabilities.

While the competition may put up a fight, the TRX’s impressive performance and unmistakable presence solidify its status as a formidable contender in the full-size pickup truck segment, offering unparalleled power and performance for enthusiasts seeking an adrenaline-fueled driving experience.
