Nissan Rolls Out Its Next-Generation NissanConnect Infotainment System

Nissan has officially introduced its latest NissanConnect infotainment system for European markets, following its successful debut in North America. Powered by Android Automotive, this upgraded version promises enhanced integration with Google services and the Google Assistant, providing access to native apps like Google Maps and a wide array of downloadable options via Google Play.

With the integration of Google’s voice assistant, users gain greater control over various vehicle features through voice commands. Moreover, NissanConnect now offers comprehensive control over the vehicle’s functions, extending to EV-specific features such as guiding drivers to suitable charging stations and optimizing charging schedules to minimize costs by leveraging real-time pricing data and local electricity tariffs.

Furthermore, the new NissanConnect system offers seamless connectivity with the accompanying mobile app, enabling convenient pre-conditioning of the vehicle’s interior temperature before entry. Additionally, the app provides alerts if doors or windows are left open, enhancing security and peace of mind for users.

European Nissan owners can anticipate receiving the updated NissanConnect system via an over-the-air update by the end of the current month, ensuring that they can benefit from the latest features and improvements without the need for physical intervention at a dealership.
