Hyundai Motor America has issued a recall for select 2022 to 2023 models of the Genesis G80, G90, GV70, and GV80 due to a potential issue with the low-pressure fuel pump assembly. The defect, identified in parts supplied by Hyundam Industrial Co., Ltd., could lead to fuel pump failure and subsequent vehicle shutdown.

According to documents from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, affected vehicles include both six- and four-cylinder variants, totaling over 31,000 units produced between November 2021 and September 2022. While no accidents or fires have been reported, Hyundai is taking proactive measures to address the issue.

In addition to the recall, Hyundai is enhancing its production processes to ensure the quality and reliability of future vehicles. By addressing potential issues promptly and transparently, Hyundai demonstrates its commitment to delivering safe and dependable vehicles to consumers worldwide.
