Hewlett Packard, a technology company from America, has decided to partner with Ferrari. They will now be known as Scuderia Ferrari HP because of a deal they’ve made for many years.
Starting from the Miami Grand Prix next week, Ferrari’s Formula 1 cars will show the Hewlett Packard logo, which is famous for its blue color. Even the team’s uniforms will have the HP name and logo. This partnership will also include Ferrari’s racing school and its esports programs.
The CEO of Ferrari, Benedetto Vigna, said, “Our founder always wanted us to keep moving forward. We love to innovate both on the road and the race track. We also care about the future, from reducing carbon emissions to educating young people. HP shares these values with us, making them a perfect partner.”
The CEO of HP, Enrique Lores, added, “Both HP and Ferrari have rich histories. We both believe in using technology to improve performance and craftsmanship. Through this partnership, we hope to reach new customers and grow our businesses together.”
Besides having their name on the Ferrari cars, HP will also provide technology services to the team. This includes things like computers, printers, and video conferencing tools.
HP is already involved in Formula 1 through its partnership with the Mercedes team. However, it’s a different part of HP called Hewlett-Packard Enterprise. They focus more on cloud computing and networking, unlike the regular HP, which makes products for consumers.
Earlier this week, Ferrari announced they would change their car’s livery for the Miami Grand Prix. They will add blue colors to their usual red to celebrate their 70th anniversary in the American market. These special blues are called Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino.
