Stellantis is stopping the production of its powerful Hemi V8 engines. This means Ram won’t be making the extreme TRX anymore. But don’t worry, they’re still making tough off-road trucks. The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO might not have as much power as the TRX, but it’s got a lot going for it. Plus, it has some big advantages over its predecessor.

The RHO is different because it uses the high-output version of the Hurricane twin-turbo 3.0-liter straight-six engine. It’s almost the same as the engines in other Ram 1500 and Jeep Wagoneer models, but with a few tweaks. It has a special air filter that gets air from a functional hood scoop, and it has a valve in the exhaust that lets you choose how loud you want it to be.

It makes 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque, which is less than the TRX’s 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet. But compared to the standard F-150 Raptor, which has 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, the RHO is still pretty quick. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds, just 0.1 seconds behind the TRX, and it finishes a quarter-mile in 13.1 seconds.

Another good thing about the RHO is that it’s lighter than the TRX by 150 pounds. This makes it feel more nimble, especially when turning. It also helps with towing and payload capacity. The RHO can tow up to 8,380 pounds and carry a payload of up to 1,520 pounds, which is more than what the standard Raptor can do.

Even though it’s lighter, the RHO still has the same suspension as the TRX, including adaptive shocks and plenty of travel. It also comes with 35-inch tires, and you can fit 37-inch tires if you want, but you might run into some issues with rubbing.

Inside and out, there are some small changes to the RHO’s styling and features. It has updated LED lights, a new grille and bumper, and special badges and stickers. Inside, there’s a new infotainment screen for the passenger, a full-color HUD, and new badges. You can also get Nappa leather or suede seats and add carbon fiber trim.

But the best part about the RHO is the price. It starts at $71,990, which is much less than the TRX’s price of over $100,000. It’s also cheaper than the F-150 Raptor, which starts at $80,325. Even though it doesn’t have the powerful engine of the TRX, the RHO still has a lot to offer, and it’s a great value for the money.
