Even though the Ram 1500 got a big upgrade in 2019, they still kept selling the older version alongside it, calling it the Ram 1500 Classic. But now, they’re saying goodbye to it in Canada. They’ll keep selling it in the U.S. and Mexico until they run out of them, though.

But don’t worry too much. They’re still going to sell other Ram models in Canada, like the 1500, Ram HD, Ram Chassis Cab, and Ram ProMaster van.

The Classic was pretty popular at first. In 2019, it made up almost a third of all Ram pickup sales. But the newer Ram 1500 got some updates that made it better, with cooler technology and a really nice interior, especially in the fancier versions.

Ram hasn’t said when they’ll stop selling the Classic in the U.S. or Mexico, but it seems like it might be on its way out. They’re still showing it on their website for the 2024 model year, though. Ram is planning more updates for the Ram 1500 in 2025, and they’re also making a new electric model soon, so they’ll be busy with that.

The price of the 2024 Ram 1500 Classic went up a lot from the previous year. It used to start at a little over $32,000, but now it’s $38,705 before taxes and stuff. That’s only about $700 less than the cheapest version of the newer Ram 1500, which has a nicer interior and more options.

If Ram stops selling the Classic, their truck prices will go way up. The middle versions will cost between $60,000 and $76,000, and the fanciest one will start at more than $87,000. And if you add options, it could get close to $100,000.
