Tesla’s Own Voice Assistant Feature Together With Amazon Music Hits The Road

Tesla is poised to introduce two significant updates to its vehicles based on recently uncovered code: the integration of a native voice assistant and the addition of Amazon Music streaming to the onboard entertainment system. These updates align with Tesla’s reputation for continuously enhancing its vehicles through over-the-air updates and CEO Elon Musk’s vision of a seamless, hands-free driving experience.

The native voice assistant, teased in the code unearthed by Tesla enthusiast ‘Green,’ is set to empower drivers with the ability to manage a range of functions through voice commands, eliminating the necessity to search for buttons.

Indications suggest that the assistant will activate upon hearing a designated “wake word,” facilitating seamless interaction with the vehicle’s capabilities, including tasks like adjusting cabin temperature, switching music tracks, or plotting navigation routes.

In addition to the voice assistant, the update includes support for Amazon Music streaming, expanding Tesla’s audio repertoire following the recent integration of the Audible app. This move further solidifies Tesla’s connection with Amazon and enhances the entertainment options available to Tesla owners.

Furthermore, the update indicates Tesla’s focus on safety features with the introduction of a “Restricted Drivers” setting, potentially aimed at providing added safeguards for novice drivers. This suggests Tesla’s commitment to not only enhancing driver convenience but also prioritizing safety within its vehicles.
