If you were to distill the essence of Britishness into a single vehicle, imagine a machine embodying the spirit of Winston Churchill, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, John Lennon, and Jeremy Clarkson all at once.

Picture it proudly displaying a Union Jack on its grille, with an interior adorned in luxurious wood and leather fit to rival a Highland farm and a small forest combined. Meet Chris Bishop, the mastermind behind Bishop’s 4×4 in Peterborough, England.

At Bishop’s, seasoned craftsmen meticulously restore and upgrade classic Jaguars and Land Rovers, ensuring these iconic British vehicles run as smoothly as the day they rolled off the assembly line. But their latest project transcends the ordinary.

Instead of sticking with the original Rover V8, the team at Bishop’s swapped it out for a 5.9-liter V12 engine from the Aston Martin DB7 V12 Vantage, closely linked to the Jaguar models they specialize in. With 420 horsepower on tap, this powerhouse transforms the 1971 Range Rover Classic into a force to be reckoned with.

This beast will be up for grabs at the Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire through Iconic Auctioneers on May 8th, 2024. Any lucky buyer snagging this masterpiece for under 100 grand will have struck gold.
