In 2018, the automotive world marveled at the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, hailed as the fastest SUV at the time. Powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine borrowed from the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, the Trackhawk delivered an impressive 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque.

Designed for asphalt rather than mud, the Trackhawk boasted a new aerodynamic package, lowered ground clearance, and a quad-exhaust system, giving it a menacing appearance.

Fast forward to today, a modified 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk takes performance to another level with a 7.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, aided by a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger, producing a dyno-tested 1,200-wheel horsepower.

Coupled with nitrous oxide (N2O), this powerhouse propels the SUV forward with remarkable speed. In a quarter-mile run, the modified Trackhawk clocked an impressive 8.72 seconds at 165 mph, setting a world record.

Accompanied by heavy drivetrain modifications, a new transmission, a transfer case, and a rear end, this Trackhawk is a force to be reckoned with. Inside, the cabin underwent significant changes, with racing bucket seats replacing the stock ones and a roll cage added for safety.

Despite its weight and the additional passengers it carried during testing, the modified Trackhawk showcased unparalleled acceleration, leaving even powerful tuned cars in its wake.
