Internally referred to as U725, the sixth-generation Bronco was revealed in June 2021 for the 2021 model year with Ranger T6-derived underpinnings. Just under three years since Ford Motor Company introduced the Jeep Wrangler-rivaling sport utility vehicle, Jiangling Ford has announced the prices and specifications for the first Bronco to be manufactured in China.

Before delving further, it’s important to note that Jiangling Ford is a joint venture established in late 2021, producing the Ranger mid-size pickup truck and the Bronco with minimal aesthetic and mechanical differences compared to the North American models.

While the Ranger offers the 2.3-liter EcoBoost or a turbo diesel, the Bronco in China is equipped solely with the four-cylinder turbo gas engine. As of now, Jiangling Ford-made Rangers start at 145,800 renminbi or 20,210 USD, while the Bronco begins at 299,800 yuan or 41,560 USD, slightly higher than the North American model’s price of $39,630.

Both feature HOSS 2.0 suspension, also available on the Outer Banks Sasquatch Package, which is priced at 387,800 renminbi for the Sasquatch variant and 337,800 for the non-Sasquatch Outer Banks.

Assembled in Nanchang, the body-on-frame 4×4 is only available with an automatic transmission paired with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, producing 202 kW and 429 Nm, equivalent to 271 horsepower and 316 pound-feet of torque.

Chinese customers do not have the option for a two-door Bronco, aligning with the preference for long-wheelbase vehicles in the Chinese market. Similarly, the EU-spec Bronco is available only as a four-door model.
