The Miami Beach Police Department (MBPD) has introduced a unique addition to its patrol fleet: a Rolls-Royce Ghost ultra-luxury sedan. This move aims to attract new recruits to the force, enhancing both the department’s image and its recruitment efforts.
The revealed Rolls-Royce Ghost features police lights and sirens, making it unmistakably recognizable as a police cruiser. It’s worth noting that without the added police kits, a Rolls Royce Ghost typically sells for around $400,000, equivalent to about N800 million in Nigeria.
This latest addition to the MBPD fleet was generously donated by Florida dealership Braman Motors, emphasizing the collaborative effort between the private sector and law enforcement to bolster recruitment initiatives.
The Miami Beach Police Department emphasizes that the Rolls-Royce wasn’t acquired using taxpayer money. Instead, it was a gift from Braman Motors, who covered all associated costs with the project, adhering to CMB Policy.
Miami Beach Police Chief Wayne Jones expressed his enthusiasm about the new addition, highlighting its top-of-the-line quality and its potential to aid in recruitment efforts. With recruiting police officers becoming increasingly challenging, Chief Jones sees the Rolls-Royce Ghost as a valuable tool to attract new talent to the department.
