Specialty Vehicle Engineering has turned the C8 Corvette Stingray into a super-powerful car with 1,000 horsepower. They call it the Yenko/SC Corvette C8. This amazing car has more than double the power of the regular car. But how did the tuner manage to get so much power from the LT2 motor?

Firstly, they made some changes to the engine. They added special turbochargers, strong rods, a sturdy crankshaft, and tough pistons. They also improved the cylinder heads and the intake manifold. Plus, they put in a new camshaft and special valve covers. All these changes make the Yenko/SC even stronger than Lingenfelter’s supercharged E-Ray.

The transmission also got an upgrade, as did the fuel system. The LT2 V8 now has new exhaust tips, giving it a better sound. Unfortunately, we don’t have exact performance numbers yet. But, the regular Corvette with 490 hp can reach a top speed of 194 mph and go from 0-60 mph in three seconds. It’s safe to say the Yenko/SC will be much faster.

Aside from the mechanical upgrades, Specialty Vehicle Engineering offers some changes to the outside and inside. Customers can choose from many different paint colors and even add carbon fiber trim. They can also pick graphics for the sides and hood in various colors. The wheels are special too, with different sizes at the front and back, and they’re wrapped in high-performance tires.

The car looks mostly normal from the outside, so people might not realize how fast it is. Inside, there are logos on the headrests and special floor mats. There are also unique door sill plates and a plaque with the build number. However, we haven’t seen any pictures of the interior yet.

This car will be very rare. Specialty Vehicle Engineering plans to make just ten for 2024 and another 50 for 2025. It costs almost $100,000 for the upgrade alone, not including the original car or any extra options. So, you’re looking at spending over $168,000, which is much more than a Z06 or E-Ray. Last year, SVE also made an 800-hp Yenko/SC Silverado 1500, showing they can make powerful packages for Chevy vehicles.
