The tiny VinFast VF3 electric car, coming soon to the US, is a hit in Vietnam! It racked up a record number of pre-orders in just 66 hours, even though it only goes 130 miles on a single charge.

VinFast made it super easy to order the VF3 online and through other shopping websites. But some people say these sales might not be real because VinFast might have just sold the cars to itself.

The little VF3 is way shorter than a Chevrolet Bolt EV, and it only has two doors and four seats. The cargo space isn’t huge either, but you can fold down the back seats for more room.

Here’s the thing though, the VF3’s speed and power aren’t that impressive. It only has 43 horsepower and can go from 0 to 31 mph in 5.3 seconds.

The battery range is also a question mark. VinFast says it goes 130 miles on a full charge, but that’s based on an older way of measuring range. If they use the US standard, it might only go around 88 miles on a single charge. Despite this, the VF3 is really cheap in Vietnam, starting at around $9,300 if you rent the battery. It comes with a long warranty too, so there’s that.
