Its 1.0-liter engine produces a mere 114 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, available with either a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional seven-speed S tronic. Acceleration from 0-62 mph takes 9.7 seconds with the former and slightly longer with the latter, while top speeds are rated at 127 mph for the Sportback and 130 mph for the Sedan.
In the UK, on-the-road pricing begins at £28,920 for the Sportback and £29,485 for the Sedan in the Sport trim level, with S-line upgrades bumping the price to £31,250 and £31,765, respectively. Opting for the premium subcompact model with an automatic transmission starts at £30,470 for the Sportback and £31,035 for the Sedan in the Sport configuration, while S line variants begin at £32,750 and £33,315, respectively.
Standard equipment is extensive, including 17-inch alloys, LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, electrically adjustable and heated side mirrors, heated front sports seats, three-zone climate control, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit Plus, a 10.1-inch infotainment system, two USB-C sockets, updated sound system and smartphone interface, voice control, and various safety features such as pre-sense front, lane departure warning, and collision avoidance assist.
