Hennessey Performance, known for their high-powered creations, often grabs headlines with vehicles like the Mammoth TRX 1200, a 1,200-horsepower supercharged HEMI designed for both off-road and track use.

Its rival in a recent showdown was the Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z06 Z07. Despite being a sports car, the Corvette’s 670-horsepower naturally aspirated V8, which revs up to 8,400 rpm, faces the challenge head-on. While the Z06’s low torque of 460 lb-ft is respectable, it’s built more for the track, inspired by Ferrari’s high-revving V8 designs.

On the other hand, the Mammoth 1200 TRX boasts 941 horsepower and 861 lb-ft of torque, making it a beast on rough terrain. These figures are wheel horsepower ratings, which add context to its quarter-mile performance.

Hennessey has not disclosed the exact elapsed time for the Mammoth TRX but shared that it crosses the finish line at speeds over 130 mph. The Mammoth’s true performance potential remains partly a mystery as Hennessey keeps some details under wraps.
