Toyota has already announced its 2025 model lineup, which includes new models like the 2025 Camry, 4Runner, and Crown Signia, as well as carry-overs like the 2025 Crown and Corolla Hatchback. Meanwhile, Honda’s updates focus on their monthly sales performance.

Honda has reasons to be proud – its American division has seen a strong performance this year, with year-to-date deliveries up over 12% in April. This marks the third consecutive month with over 100k sales, and the compact Civic has seen a 35% year-over-year increase. As a result, Honda isn’t in a rush to release new products.

Notable upcoming launches include the limited-release Honda CR-V e:FCEV, a hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle to be produced in America, and the 2025 Honda Pilot Black Edition. Some enthusiasts are already speculating about the next generation of the Civic, even before the 2025 Civic and Civic Hybrid are available.

Vince Burlapp, a digital car artist known as vburlapp, has shared an unofficial design for the 2026 or 2027 Honda Civic. He acknowledges it’s early to guess what the next-generation Civic will look like, but he predicts Honda will reveal a ‘concept’ next year or in 2026 that closely resembles the final car with minor tweaks.

He also suggests the new hybrid powertrain will likely become standard, with potential additions of a plug-in hybrid and a full EV. What do you think? Will Honda release the next-generation Civic soon, or let the refreshed series continue for a few more years? And will the design be conservative like this CGI, or more radical?
