2021 Jaguar XJ: Maximum Luxury Electric Sedan

Jaguar is an automobile manufacturer that is known for its monstrous cars along with full luxury options. While having a lot of power in the engine, their cars have the best comfort and quirks to give you the best ride. In their line-up, the company will be adding the 2021 Jaguar XJ, an all-electric performance sedan serving as the futuristic version. The 2020 version is still under production but will be discontinued in mid-2021.

The biggest change between the models is the transition into an electric sedan. Instead of a diesel or petrol engine, the car will have an electric motor. The motor will be similar to the one that came with Jaguar I-Pace, but this time, it will deliver more power and range compared to the older EVs from the company. With a full spec, the 2021 Jaguar will get an equivalent engine of 800hp while delivering a decent range, as seen in other modern electric vehicles. This car is expected to cast between 90,000 to 120,000 dollars, depending on the options. Jaguar XJ is not expected to hit the market before the summer of 2021.

The Jaguar XJ Sedan will compete with the full luxury sedans of the market. The 2019 model for the Jaguar XJ was an attractive model as it left nothing for the buyer to want. The car came with a fully equipped interior, bringing cooled and heated seats and both the front and the back. The seats had multiple options to adjust your seating, headrest for a perfect driving position during your ride. On top of that, the seats were finished with leather upholstered in an attractive interior overall. All that will comes to the new model with some additional touches to tell them apart. That includes the modern dashboard designs for an even sleeker look. Like the previous models, it will have multiple interiors, comfort, and power options to choose from.

Body Design

From the looks of the leaked images for the new model, most of the design features of its predecessor will be kept for the new model year. The car will be a four-seater sedan with a sleek look. The front grill looks separated into three sections, and it’s even bigger than the older model. The EV will not be needing this much grill so, we can expect a centerpiece instead of a pass-through for the petrol engine. The side and bottom vents will be open for aerodynamics and providing sufficient airflow for the battery and motor.

These shots also reveal that the car will be changed drastically from the back. It will have a distinct design to celebrate the transition of the XJ to all-electric. The backlights of the car were not very futuristic in the previous model. Hence they may give it a more flashy look this time around. The whole car will get a major refresh for the 2021 model, keeping it as luxurious and comfortable as possible. This is all we have got for you, for now. There is a lot of anticipation for this EV sedan from Jaguar, but the company is not ready to release it yet.
