Since its 2023 debut, the Jeep Avenger has been crafted at FCA Poland’s Tychy plant. It stands as Jeep’s most compact SUV, fitting below the Renegade in their lineup. Built on the same platform as the second-generation Peugeot 2008, the Avenger shares its underpinnings with models like the Fiat 600, Alfa Junior, Opel Mokka B, and DS3 Crossback.

Buyers can choose between two variants: a mild hybrid powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine delivering 99 horsepower, and a fully electric version that boasts 154 horsepower and a 54-kWh battery, providing a range of 250 miles. Jeep plans to add a third option, the Avenger 4xe, which was previewed as a concept at the 2022 Paris Motor Show and officially announced in February 2024.

Jeep has revealed full specifications for the Avenger 4xe, which will start orders in the year’s final quarter. The 4xe builds on the mild hybrid setup with a 1.2-liter engine and two electric motors, each providing 21 kW, for a total output of 136 hp. It features a six-speed dual-clutch transmission and power distribution to both axles.

The Avenger 4xe includes redesigned fog lights, mold-in-color bumpers, extra body cladding, an optional Hood Sticker, and new washable seats. It boasts improved water fording capabilities of 400 mm and better off-road angles with a raised ground clearance of 210 mm.

Jeep highlights the powertrain’s strong off-road performance, including a 22.7:1 reducer on the rear axle, enabling significant torque and slope-conquering abilities. Traction is always 4×4 at speeds up to 30 kph, on-demand between 30 and 90 kph, and FWD above 90 kph. This makes the Avenger 4xe a versatile choice for both city driving and off-road adventures.
