An electric sports car hopeful is back for another try. Piëch Automotive, a Swiss startup founded by Anton Piëch, son of a legendary automotive figure, has revealed a revamped version of its electric sports car.
This new iteration, the Piëch GT, boasts a sleeker design and significant performance upgrades over its predecessor, the Mark Zero EV.
The company has also undergone a leadership shuffle, bringing in former Mercedes-AMG and Aston Martin CEO Tobias Moers to guide the project forward. While currently just a clay model, the GT promises to deliver an exhilarating performance for driving enthusiasts.
Stepping away from the initial three-motor design of the Mark Zero concept, the Piëch GT opts for a powerful twin-motor setup exceeding 1000 horsepower. This electric sports car boasts impressive technical features including two-speed transmissions for each motor, independent wheel control, and a sophisticated suspension system.
But Piëch Automotive goes beyond just performance. They envision a unique driving experience with cutting-edge technology woven into every mile, designed to stir emotions. With extensive customization options encompassing colors, trims, and even software personalization, Piëch promises an individualized GT for every owner.
Partnering with Canada’s renowned Multimatic, the company behind the Mustang GTD and Ford GT, Piëch aims to turn this vision into reality. After years of development, the limited-edition Piëch GT is expected to hit the road in 2028 with a price tag of around $215,000.
