MINI is expanding its four-door Cooper lineup with a new variant specifically designed for the North American market. Codenamed F66, this larger MINI boasts five doors for improved passenger and cargo access.

Unlike its global counterpart powered by a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine, the US-spec Cooper C 4-Door gets a punchier 2.0-liter turbocharged engine under the hood.

While details like exact output and pricing are still under wraps, MINI has announced a starting price of $33,200 (plus destination) for the sportier Cooper S 4-Door.

This hotter hatchback, slated for production in July 2025, packs 201 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque, distributed to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Packing a punch with a 0-62 mph time of 6.8 seconds and a 150 mph top speed, the MINI Cooper S 4-Door offers a surprising amount of performance for its pint-sized stature. Starting at $33,200, it undercuts the similarly practical but more powerful Hyundai Elantra N.

While the 4-Door boasts increased legroom and whole length compared to the 2-Door Cooper, it maintains the iconic MINI design elements like the circular headlights, minimized overhangs, and a silhouette reminiscent of past MINI models.

This latest generation MINI rides on a platform shared with the BMW 1 Series five-door hatchback, also utilized by several other BMW SUVs. It’s worth noting that the electric MINI Cooper E and Cooper SE have a different platform altogether, while the electric Countryman shares its underpinnings with the BMW iX1.
