Infiniti has recently begun delivering its redesigned QX80, a luxury SUV that offers a blend of style, performance, and advanced technology. The 2025 model year QX80 is available for configuration at a starting price of $82,450, excluding freight charges. To make the delivery experience even more memorable, Infiniti has been surprising select customers in the United States with special surprises.
One customer, for example, was greeted by Alfonso Albaisa, head of design at Nissan Motor Corporation, who personally handed over the keys to their new QX80 and shared insights into the vehicle’s design and technology. Another customer was presented with a birthday cake to celebrate their new purchase.
While not all customers received such extravagant gestures, Infiniti emphasizes the loyalty of families like the McMichaels, who have owned multiple Infiniti vehicles, including three QX80s, over the years.
The 2025 QX80 features several upgrades over its predecessor, including a new powertrain, advanced technology features, and a more refined interior. The SUV is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine paired with a nine speed automatic transmission, offering a more powerful and efficient driving experience.
Considering the competitive world and evolving regulatory standards, Infiniti’s decision to equip the 2025 QX80 with a twin-turbo V6 engine and a nine speed automatic transmission was a strategic move. The brand’s history of struggling to produce relevant products necessitated a significant update to the QX80, especially in light of the growing popularity of V6-powered luxury SUVs like the Lexus LX, Cadillac Escalade, and Lincoln Navigator.
