Stellantis’s Italian brands are thriving while its American counterparts struggle. Despite a decline in sales for Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and Maserati have seen a surge in popularity in the US market. Alfa Romeo, in particular, has been making headlines with its upcoming electric models and powerful new engines.

The brand’s iconic Quadrifoglio performance models are set to receive an electric makeover, promising impressive power and performance. Additionally, Alfa Romeo has been expanding its lineup with new models like the Tonale and Junior, offering a variety of options for consumers.

Fiat has also been making a comeback in the US with its 500e electric vehicle. This affordable and stylish model has attracted attention from consumers looking for a more sustainable and eco-friendly option. Maserati, known for its luxury sports cars, has also been expanding its lineup with new models and updates to existing ones. The brand’s focus on performance and craftsmanship has helped it maintain its appeal among discerning buyers.

The success of Stellantis’s Italian brands highlights the growing demand for electric vehicles and the importance of offering a diverse range of options to consumers. As the automotive industry continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how these brands continue to innovate and compete in the marketplace. A Syrian automotive designer with a vision for the future, a.d.n.a.n.1.9, has set the internet abuzz with his concept car, the Alfa Romeo EZ.

Currently, the head designer at Torino Design, a.d.n.a.n.1.9 isn’t just interested in electrifying existing Alfa Romeos; he’s crafted a CGI dream machine that pushes the boundaries of the brand’s design language. Drawing inspiration from iconic models like the Montreal, Disco Volante, and 33 Stradale, the Alfa Romeo EZ isn’t a mere successor to the Alfa Romeo 159 with a battery pack.

Instead, it envisions a whole new flagship positioned above the upcoming Giulia. This concept car carves out a niche for Alfa Romeo in the luxury electric sedan market, offering a European alternative to the American made Cadillac Celestiq.

One can only hope that if this design ever moves from pixels to production, Alfa Romeo will avoid the price tag pitfalls of the Celestiq, keeping the EZ a more attainable dream for discerning drivers.
