The week has been a whirlwind for automotive enthusiasts, with a flurry of exciting new vehicle announcements. Passenger car fans were thrilled by the revealing of the 2025 Toyota GR Corolla, a revamped version of the popular hot hatchback that now features design tweaks, an optional eight speed automatic transmission, and other new features.

Pickup truck enthusiasts were equally delighted with the introduction of the 2025 Chevy Silverado, Ford Super Duty, and Raptor lineup. The Silverado received subtle updates, while the Super Duty and Raptor models were showcased at the first Raptor Rally, featuring impressive upgrades and enhancements.

Stellantis also joined the heavy duty truck party with a preview of the 2025 Ram HD models, promising a powerful and capable performance. While crossover SUV lovers may have felt a bit left out, Honda has teased the upcoming 2026 Passport TrailSport, a rugged and powerful mid-size crossover SUV that is set to be revealed this fall.

The Passport TrailSport is expected to feature the same 3.5-liter V6 engine found in the Pilot, offering a strong and capable performance. With its rugged styling and off-road capabilities, the Passport TrailSport is sure to appeal to adventure seeking drivers. The Honda Passport, a five-seater SUV, is currently priced higher than its larger, three row sibling, the Pilot.

This illogical pricing discrepancy has raised eyebrows. To justify the premium, Honda could introduce a top-tier trim level, surpassing the existing EX-L, TrailSport, and Black Edition models. If this doesn’t happen, digital artists will likely step in to create their vision of a luxurious Passport.

One such artist, from AutoYa Interior on YouTube, has envisioned a 2026 Honda Passport ‘Elite’ model. Based on the upcoming TrailSport’s teasers, this ‘Elite’ version would feature a more refined exterior, eschewing the adventurous body elements of the TrailSport. Instead, it would likely boast a more elegant and sophisticated design, perhaps with subtle chrome accents and sleek lines.

The interior of the ‘Elite’ model would be a stark departure from the current styling and technology of Honda models. The artist envisions a sleek, unified dashboard with a tablet-like display housing the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. This modern design would give the ‘Elite’ a more premium and futuristic feel.

In addition to the redesigned interior, the ‘Elite’ model might also feature advanced features such as a high-quality sound system, heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a suite of driver-assistance technologies. These features would further justify the premium price tag and make the ‘Elite’ a compelling option for luxury SUV buyers.

While the ‘Elite’ model is currently just a concept, it offers a look into what a future Honda Passport could look like. If Honda decides to bring this model to market, it could help to close the pricing gap between the Passport and the Pilot and attract a wider range of buyers.
