GMC just came up with their new 2023 Sierra 1500 AT4X AEV edition. It is yet to be released in late 2022. Though, no official release dates are out yet. The demand for off-roading heavy pickup trucks led to the rise of this new GMC pickup. The already released Sierra 1500 AT4X is now coming with AEV, the American Expedition Vehicles package. This package will include a few changes in the body and interiors of the 1500 AT4X.
Sierra 1500 AT4X is already the GMC’s most off-road-capable pickup truck. The addition of AEV to the lineup gives it more power and toughness. American Expedition Vehicles is a manufacturer of off-road vehicle parts and accessories. Earlier, they were based on Jeep vehicles and Ram trucks.

What is new in the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X AEV edition?
The new AEV edition comes with 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler MT tires. 18-inch AEV Saltas alloy wheels center this tyre. This new GMC truck gets all the armor with AEV. The truck is equipped with heavy-duty steel under the armor. Also, It got stronger skid plates. A unique front and rear end bumpers are equipped in this version of Sierra 1500. These bumpers are made from steel, making them stronger and tougher. The off-road experience in this vehicle is made smoother with the upgrades. So, The approach angle is increased to 32.5º, and the departure and break over angles are also increased. Additionally, the ground clearance is also increased in this model. Hence, it will be more off-road capable than its Sierra 1500 family.
Specifications of the new GMC
This new AEV edition is also equipped with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine, just like the AT4X model. This engine produces 420-hp and is mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This is a front-engine, four-wheel drive. Therefore, almost all the specifications are similar in the new AEV model. Furthermore, The towing capacity of the truck is 13,200 pounds. The interior is equipped with a 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. It can be connected wirelessly by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin is roomy, and the seats are covered in grain-leather covering. The truck comes with GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving tech for safety assistance. What is the pricing and release date of the AEV edition?
There is no official statement related to the release date is out yet. It is said that the 2023 model will be available in the market anytime in early 2023. Hence, this means that the production of this truck will start sometime soon. The price list for the truck will be released near its launch. Although, the expected starting price is near $80,000 to $85,000, just like the 1500 AT4X.
