The new Dodge Charger is finally here, and it is available with a battery EV system or with a Hurricane-6 internal combustion engine.

The 2024 Charger will be Dodge’s first multi-energy muscle car available as EVs (Daytona Scat Pack & R/T) and ICEs (SIXPACK).

EV models have a power advantage, with Charger Daytona delivering Charger Hellcat Redeye performance levels.

Charger Daytona has a widebody stance, modern muscular design, and driver-focused interior with Attitude Adjustment lighting.

Dodge has finally crossed the road into an electric muscle car future. The brand from Stellantis had teased the automotive world about its electric aspirations with the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept.

Now, the concept has become a production reality, and the Dodge Charger Daytona is the world’s first and only electric muscle car, at least for now.

2024 Charger Is Available As EVs and ICEs

– Dodge Charger BEVs are called Daytona SCAT PACK and Daytona R/T

– Dodge Charger ICE models are named SIXPACK

– Dodge Charger Daytona is available as a two-door and a four-door

– Charger SIXPACKs are offered as high-output and standard-output model

Dodge is presenting the all-new Charger as its first multi-energy muscle car. This is because the Charger will arrive for the 2024 model year not just as an EV (Charger Daytona) but also as a conventionally powered model (Charger SIXPACK) with the 3.0L Twin Turbo Hurricane engines.

However, the Charger Daytonas have a power advantage over the SIXPACK models, as they can deliver levels of performance similar to that of the Charger Hellcat Redeye.

The all-electric models include the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack and 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T, both of which will be available in either two-door coupe or four-door body styles.

Both sit on Stellantis’ new STLA Large platform. The Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. will arrive as a two-door model, while the SIXPACK S.O. will come to life with a four-door configuration.

The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona features a 400V propulsion system — not the 800V Banshee propulsion system that includes a high-voltage 100.5 kW battery pack, a dual integrated charge module, and two electric drive modules (EDM) on the front and rear for all-wheel-drive performance.

Each module comes with an inverter, gearbox, and motor, capable of delivering up to 335 hp of output and 300 lb.-ft. of torque.

As standard, the Charger Daytona Scat Pack offers 630 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, but a Direct Connection Stage 2 kit increases the output numbers to 670 hp.

Meanwhile, the Charger Daytona R/T comes with a base output of 456 hp and 404 lb-ft of torque. Output figures for the Charger Daytona R/T increase to 496 hp with the Direct Connection Stage 1 upgrade kit.

The EV models feature a PowerShot mode, accessible via a button on the bottom right of the steering wheel. When activated by a throttle punch, PowerShot increases the output by 40 hp for 15 seconds.

In terms of performance, the Charger Daytona Scat Pack can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and reach a quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds, with a top speed of 134 mph.

The Charger Daytona R/T is slower, as it accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and completes a quarter-mile in 13.1 seconds.

However, the Charger Daytona R/T has a higher top speed at 137 mph and a greater all-electric range of 317 miles (Charger Daytona Scat Pack: 240 miles).

2024 Dodge Charger Has Muscular Design With Focus on Function

  • Pure widebody stance for all Dodge Charger models
  • Front R-Wing feature for Charger Daytona models
  • Eight available colors for the muscle car’s exterior

The Interior boasts a driver-focused design with a modern, visceral feel

As previewed for the future by the Daytona SRT Concept, the all-new Dodge Charger boasts a pure widebody stance with a modern muscular exterior focused on function.

Charger Daytona models bear the Dodge patent-pending front R-Wing, fender badging identifying both the Scat Pack and R/T models, as well as nine new wheels in various sizes.

The Charger Daytona R/T and the Charger Daytona Scat Pack come standard with 18×8-inch Tech Silver wheels and 20×11-inch Satin Carbon wheels, respectively.

The all-new 2024 model is available with eight exterior options: After Dark, Bludicrous (late availability), Destroyer Grey, Diamond Black, Peel Out, Redeye, Triple Nickel, and White Knuckle.

Meanwhile, the interior of the all-new Charger Daytona is home to freestanding, wide-format 10.25-inch cluster screens and a 12.3-inch center display. Immersive new Attitude Adjustment interior lighting allows playing with 64 colors with adjustable intensity.

The gas-powered Chargers will begin production in 1st quarter of 2025 as well. Pricing has yet to be announced.
