A few weeks ago, Ford announced its best month ever for hybrid car sales. This is significant because their first hybrid came out in 2004. As they celebrate this success, it’s important to remember that Ford still has some problems to solve. They’re dealing with issues like production quality and problems with their BlueCruise ADAS system.
Now, onto the good news. According to the new reports, Ford has been the top car producer for the last five years in a row. They made over 1.8 million vehicles in the US last year, which is more than any other carmaker. The success is partly due to the popularity of models like the F-150, Maverick, and the electric Lightning.

Their electric vehicle division has also lost a lot of money this year, more than in 2023. This has led to big discounts on models like the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning, even though Ford is still pushing hybrid sales and not giving up on their electric future.
