The Williams F1 Team is making changes to its factory and how it works. The owner, Dorilton Capital, wants to make the team better so it can compete higher up in the races.

Team principal James Vowles and chief technical officer Pat Fry have said the team is behind others. They mentioned that they struggled to finish building their FW46 car on time.

At the Australian Grand Prix, Logan Sargeant couldn’t race because the team didn’t have an extra car ready. This showed everyone that the team needs to do better.

Dave Robson, a member of the team, said it’s tough to make changes while still racing. He compared it to fixing a bicycle puncture while riding it.

He said, “It’s hard to stop and teach everyone new ways of working. But we’re trying. There’s a lot to do, like improving our tools and software.”

When asked about the team’s problems, Robson agreed that they have issues. He said, “We know we’re not as efficient as we could be. Other teams might have similar problems, but maybe they don’t talk about them like we do.”

Robson thinks the team has improved a lot over the years. He believes their work will eventually show in their performance on the track.

He added, “We’re excited about the progress we’ve made. It’s frustrating that we can’t see results right away, but we’ll keep working hard.”
