The Scuderia team is planning a special look for the Miami Grand Prix. They want to honor Ferrari’s history in the United States. This is to celebrate Ferrari’s 70th anniversary in the American market.

They will use two shades of blue from the past: Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino. These colors were important in Ferrari’s history. Azzurro La Plata is a light blue, which is the national racing color of Argentina. It was also worn by famous drivers like Alberto Ascari and Niki Lauda. Azzurro Dino is a darker blue that was last seen in 1974.

Ferrari first used a special white and blue livery in the US in 1964. This was to mark their growing importance in American motorsport. The new blue livery will be a modern tribute to this historic moment.

The special design will be revealed in Florida. Although they haven’t said when, Ferrari has planned many events starting on April 28 to celebrate their anniversary. The big finale will be at the Miami Grand Prix. There will be a parade of Ferrari cars, including two blue 296 GTSs.

Last year, Ferrari had a special livery for the Italian Grand Prix. It was yellow, paying tribute to a car that won the Le Mans 24 Hours race. In 2020, they used a burgundy livery to celebrate their 1000th race at the Tuscan Grand Prix.
